What ages of children do you accept?

Stay and Play Childcare and Learning Center typically provide care for children who are birth through 12 years of age, but it can vary.

What are your hours of operation?

Stay and Play is open year-round Monday through Friday 7:30am to 6PM. Overnight and Weekends will be available soon.

How do I enroll my child, and is there a waiting list?

Typically, parents will make an appointment for a tour first, then will be given a registration form to fill out, let us know what your anticipated start day will be and your done. Depending on the age, and space you may be placed on a waiting list due to demand. It's best to apply well in advance.

What are the fees, and what do they include?

Fees can vary widely based on location, services, and the child's age. They generally cover care, educational activities, and meals/snacks. Some centers also charge extra for extended hours or additional activities.

Do you offer any discounts or financial assistance?

Stay and Play Childcare and Learning Center offer sibling discounts, reduced rates for low-income families. We accept government subsidies from Department Youth and families (DCYF) and City of Seattle (CCOS) we also except other subsidies.

What is a typical day like at your daycare?

How do you handle discipline and behavior issues?

Stay and Play Childcare and Learning Center use a positive reinforcement and Quiet reflective time. Physical punishment is not acceptable. Policies should be clearly communicated to parents.

Stay and Play Childcare and Learning Center Caregivers are governed by Washington State Department of Early Learning licensing requirements, regulations and King County health codes. All staff are required to keep all certifications and qualifications up to date, which can include degrees in early childhood education, certifications, and training in first aid and CPR, and Star hours.
